An impressive and visually stunning XLarge atomic Mid Century Modern sculptural "Charleton" Hand Decorated Glass & Black enameled wood table … Read more An impressive and visually stunning XLarge atomic Mid Century Modern sculptural "Charleton" Hand Decorated Glass & Black enameled wood table lamp designed and manufactured by Marbro lighting circa 1950's. This rare never seen monumental form is highly remminescent of other unique Marbro designs of the Atomic Modern period as their creations were mostly custom order only directly to the Interior Design trade. The sculptural body is comprised of a large column-like thick glass cone shape vase that has been Hand detailed with its intense vertical "sgraffito"pattern which is further highlighted by the brilliant pond water-like texture with Gold highlights throughout creating a stunning 3-D effect - which was created by "Charleton" studios (see last pics of glass section removed for inspection) who were well known for the hand decorations of iconic Fenton glassware during that era. This brilliant piece of Art Glass is capped top and bottom by a Black Enameled wood top and amazing dramatically stepped platform base. Crowned with the original matched Black enameled metal finial which mounts the Off White colored Linen shade that is shown for REFERENCE ONLY and is NOT INCLUDED - see details below to acquire. Original wiring and long stylish pull chain socket has been inspected and tested and appear to be clean, safe and fully operational.
