A rare, brilliant and exceptional early Industrial Machine Age Brass Art Nouveau double articulating desk table lamp manufactured by Edward … Read more A rare, brilliant and exceptional early Industrial Machine Age Brass Art Nouveau double articulating desk table lamp manufactured by Edward Miller Lighting circa 1910's. This highly functional form consists of a super heavy cast iron inner base (11 lbs.!) that supports the elegantly curved extension arm and shade joint with its suspended Milky white slag glass "Tulip" shaped shade creating a brilliant sculpture of form and space all very well engineered and assembled. This particular design with its low profile and super heavy base was originally intended to be used atop a roll top style desk or piano to extend down & outward beyond the base in a cantilever style casting light below its baseline. That said it can be used anywhere as a directional or accent lighting source. Makers "E MILLER" mark is clearly debossed into cast iron base bottom. See less

CONDITION: This stunning lamp is in excellent used original vintage condition, completely intact and fully functional. All original solid Brass hardware is brilliant overall, fairly clean and blemish free aside from the ideal patine'd age tarnish. The original brass framed Milky White slag glass shade is equally as clean with no obvious blemishes aside from some little soil spots. Original paddle key socket and more recently replaced insulated power cord have been inspected, cleaned and tested to be completely safe and functional. DIMENSIONS: This stately lamps general dimensions are 13" high and 12" wide X 7" diameter base as shown in its fixed position. The shade is 5" tall x 4.5" diameter...standard style screw in bulb is NOT included.
