This highly functional forms consists of a very stylish Brass shrouded heavy cast iron base that supports an articulating slightly curved extension arm, thumb screw base joint, and a short shade joint with its suspended dome shaped shade, which can hold firmly in almost any position... all very well engineered and assembled. The base has 4 mounting holes on its circumference ring which suggests that this lamp can be wall mounted as well. This rare Art Deco styled Industrial lamp is completely original aside from the powercord update, there is a makers mark initial of "RC" on the top thumbscrew but I do not have a reference for what those stand for? I have handled 100's of OC White and Faries lamps over many decades and have never seen an equally as functional design as those but with a rare Fine Art Deco design elegance of its own...it doesn't get any better! CONDITION: This stunning lamp is in exceptional used vintage condition, completely intact and fully functional. All original Brass hardware is brilliant overall, clean and blemish free aside from light usage marks, a few dings in the base shroud, and slight age tarnish spots. The thumb screw joints are clean and tight which operate freely without issue while the solid Brass bell shade is equally as clean with no obvious finish wear or abuse aside from some faint bumps and patina'd finish spots. Original early key socket switch with more recently replaced insulated wire has been cleaned inspected and tested and is perfectly safe and functional. DIMENSIONS: This profound lamps general dimensions are about 16" high X 22" extended as shown in its fixed position with the base being 7" width. The shade is 4.5" tall x 7" diameter, standard size edison screw in filament bulb is NOT included.
