bruno paul: a visionary designer. Bruno paul (1874-1968), german architect, designer, and caricaturist, is an iconic figure in 20th-century design. Trained at the munich academy of fine arts, he influenced designers such as mies van der rohe, creator of the famous barcelona chair. Inspired by henry van de velde, bruno paul left his mark on design history with his furniture featuring simple lines and functional metal objects. Bibliography: exh. Cat. Bruno paul, ed. By a.
