A subtle reveal separates the tabletop from the base, creating a shadow line that gives the substantial oak top a floating appearance. L-shaped legs and half-lap apron joinery establish an architectural structure, while edges softened by hand make the table comfortable in everyday use.

Quarter-sawn oak brings its own quiet detail: distinctive medullary ray fleck, natural grain, and variations in tone. An Osmo Polyx hardwax oil finish enhances that figure and provides a low-sheen surface.

Measuring 16 inches wide by 16 inches deep by 18 inches high, Still Horizon works beside a lounge chair, at the end of a sofa, or as a compact bedside table. Its warm wood and measured proportions sit comfortably within both contemporary and traditional interiors.

This table was made entirely by Jason Deters, from selecting and milling the boards through joinery and final finishing. The table pictured is the exact piece you will receive. See less
