This particular example was acquired from the family of the original owners, who purchased it new in the late 1960s or early 1970s. It has undergone a full restoration and shows beautifully.

The oval “Flip-Flap” dining table expands from a bit over five feet in length to just over eight feet, transforming from a six-seater to accommodate 10 guests comfortably. The leaves stow neatly underneath the surface when not in use, sliding in and out on precisely engineered tracks that allow one person to deploy the extensions without assistance. Once drawn out, the leaves fold open on solid brass hinges, a feature which gives the table its namesake.

The table sits atop a robust pedestal base that maximizes leg room and provides a stable dining surface at both sizes.

The oval Lotus table is equal parts functional, beautiful, and collectible, with only a few available worldwide at any given time. Original Dyrlund label remains perfectly intact on the underside.
