A covered water pitcher and oval basin in soft-paste Sèvres porcelain, 18th century, dated 1757.
The pitcher, a first-sized "turned water pitcher," is painted with scattered sprigs of flowers and has blue and gold rims. It bears the interlaced blue mark LL surrounding the date letter D for 1757.
The hinged silver mount features a gilt finial with a shell thumb rest
. The pitcher measures 20.5 x 15 x 13 cm, and the
basin 21 x 30 x 6 cm.
There is a crack at the lower base of the handle.
