The handle is made of blue chalcedony agate carved with a giraffe head motif.
The curved blade is made of wootz steel.
The ricasso is decorated with palmettes and scrolls damascened in gold
. This type of metalwork was not intended for combat but served as a symbol of social status, wealth, and power for nobles and Maharajas.
