Sculpture of a Mingqi, China, Han Dynasty (206 BC to 221 AD).
Sculpture of a seated lady with her hands clasped in the sleeves of her dress.
Terracotta painted with a white, black, gray, and red slip.
Mingqi are ritual funerary statuettes representing a court attendant meant to serve or protect the deceased in the afterlife.
Dimensions: 18 x 9 x 4.5 cm.
Excellent condition, no restoration.
Provenance: Private collection, Southern France.
