A white marble sculpture depicting a bust of Madame de Récamier after Joseph Chinard (1756-1813). Made of
fine, heavy white marble of excellent quality.
A French work from the early 19th century, the original bust was created between 1804 and 1806.
This bust is a copy from the same period, likely made by the artist's circle.
In very good condition (see photos).
Height 52 cm.
