A 19th-century white marble sculpture depicts Venus with an apple, after Bertel Thorvaldsen (1770-1844).
She holds an apple in her hand, incorporating the iconography of Eve, and represents an allegory of beauty.
Made of fine, high-quality white marble,
very finely sculpted.
French work from the second half of the 19th century.
Excellent condition.
Height 50 cm.
