The Aesthetic Movement era cabinet features Japanese-inspired decoration and tortoise or spotted bamboo with pine panels, a small center mirror with beveled edges and two glass-front hinged cabinet doors. The top of the cabinet has a decorative bamboo open work crest and three small display shelves. One demilune shelf is positioned above and the mirror is flanked by two small hand painted shelves. Below the mirror is a hand painted panel and the cabinet bow front top is painted with a design of birds, leaves and bamboo. The glass front doors open to storage with a single interior shelf. The cabinet interior and sides are covered in a heavy, embossed floral paper original to the piece. Unknown maker. In the manner of French maker Perret et Vibert. See less
