This original oil painting is executed on a vintage Grumbacher Plyex Canvas Foundation Board (Cat. No. 634-16), definitively dating the piece to the late 1960s or 1970s. It features a signature by an unidentified artist in the lower right corner, with vintage family provenance inscriptions on the backing board reading 'this belongs to Frank / Jason'. Housed in a magnificent, highly dimensional heavy carved wood frame finished in a classic two-tone black and gold gilt. A perfect anchor piece for a moody gallery wall or a collected traditional interior. See less

The paint layer exhibits consistent texture without active flaking, bubbling, or noticeable paint loss. A faint, unidentified artist signature is present in the lower right corner. Reverse / Backing: The reverse features a stable vintage Grumbacher Plyex Canvas Foundation Board with age-appropriate toning, light foxing/spotting, and historic red ink provenance handwriting (“this belongs to Frank / Jason”). The hanging wire and hardware are intact and ready for immediate wall display. Frame Condition: The heavy, ornate carved wood frame is structurally intact with firm, tight corner joints. It retains its deep dimensional details. The two-tone black and gold gilt finish displays some localized surface scuffs, light rub wear, and minor dust accumulation consistent with age, but no major structural losses or missing plaster ornaments. less
