Presenting a premier, large-scale original 1977 oil painting titled "Twin Buttes" by listed Albuquerque, New Mexico artist Maurice Green (1920–2000). Highly celebrated for his atmospheric and light-swept interpretations of desert topography, this prominent statement piece captures a pair of majestic red rock spires towering over a classic desert floor under a masterfully blended sky.
This artwork is completely authenticated and exceptionally well-documented. It features a bold, clear signature and date block ("Maurice Green 1977") on the lower right face of the painting. Additionally, it preserves a rare hand-written inscription by the artist directly on the reverse side reading: "Twin Buttes / Oil by Maurice Green—1977". The reverse frame liner also bears vintage gallery stock stamps ("Hecho en México" / "SDS 4-1509"), charting its prestigious mid-century commercial history.
