Description: The monumental Henry II style piece, influenced by traditional "Hunt Cabinets", is masterfully crafted from solid French oak, facade-carvings feature low to high relief acanthus pattern on the lower cabinet, upper glass-paneled bookcase, period appropriate reproduction of upper cabinet right lower fleurette and attached mullions, architectural crown pediment, slight loss at lower right base. The highlight of the piece is a drop-down writing surface with skiver, signs of wear and split at flex point, with a highly figured birdseye maple interior workspace, a striking contrast to the rich dark oak exterior patina. Sympathetically restored. Fine - Near fine.

Interior cabinets fitted with shelves.
Desk area opens to the original black leather skiver with gilt embossed borders, interior nesting drawers and storage cubbies surround.
