These have been professionally … Read more A distinctive pair of antique French cast bronze chandelier elements, sourced from a Paris flea market. These have been professionally fitted with modern standard 1/4-27 threaded finial bases for use on contemporary lamps.

Each finial features a finely modeled Green Man mask surrounded by scrolling foliate ornament, a classic architectural motif associated with Gothic and Renaissance Revival design. Originally part of an antique French chandelier, these substantial cast bronze elements retain their beautifully aged original gilt bronze finish, with warm highlights and darker recessed patina developed over decades.

Rather than polishing the bronze, I have chosen to preserve the authentic antique surface, allowing the richness and character of the original finish to remain. They may be polished if a brighter appearance is desired, but they are especially handsome as found.

Condition
