The chest … Read more This handmade blanket chest was made of black walnut harvested and planed from the north side of Chicago. The chest features soft close hinges and an interior removable tray. Hand-carved blackletter "Julia" adds to the charm, or could easily be covered by a small plaque. Because of the handmade origins, there are some imperfections that add to the charm, shown as well as possible in the photos. The chest was built by a hobbyist woodworker from the Chicago suburbs in the 1990s. Perfect for storing blankets, keepsakes, or even stuffed animals. See less
