Sculptural german wall lamp from the 1960s, featuring an organically shaped white acrylic-glass diffuser mounted on a brass-toned metal backplate. The asymmetrical, slightly curved shade gives the lamp a distinctive space-age silhouette associated with sputnik-era design. A dark metal fitting secures the diffuser and provides a subtle contrast to the light shade and warm-toned wall mount. When illuminated, the translucent acrylic glass produces a soft, atmospheric glow while emphasizing the lamp’s elegant curved form. A characteristic example of german mid-century lighting, combining functional simplicity with expressive, futuristic design. Minor signs of age and use are consistent with its vintage character. The light requires one e14 light bulb. Compatible with us, european and worldwide electrical systems (120/220v).
