"Jesus Hominum Salvator" is a unique Raku ceramic wall artwork, entirely hand-molded and decorated by artist Stefania Zoppellaro.
At the center of the composition, against the blue sky and within the sun, appears the Christological monogram IHS, traditionally interpreted as "Jesus Hominum Salvator." Around it, forms inspired by acanthus leaves, a symbol of rebirth and resurrection, develop.
The composition is enclosed by a winged form in shades of white and blue. The continuous interweaving, devoid of a beginning or an end, evokes the journey of existence and its spiritual dimension.
The work was selected for the exhibition "Artisti d'Italia – Mostra di arti contemporanee," curated by Vittorio Sgarbi, held at the Villa Reale in Monza, Spazio Espositivo Belvedere, from March 25 to April 25, 2022. The listing images include the official poster and a photograph of the work on display.
