The composition is a richly layered mixed-media work combining watercolour, gouache and what appears to be collaged handwritten text — a recurring element in Becking's practice that introduces typographic and poetic tension into his abstract compositions. Bold fields of crimson, burgundy, cobalt blue and white surge across the surface, anchored by a horizontal blue stroke that creates a vivid horizon line. The handwritten script — in French, suggesting a literary or epistolary source — runs across the entire surface, integrating word and image in a single expressive field.
