Offered is a beautiful antique hand-carved wooden hanging wall shelf featuring three display shelves, prominent carved bear head terminals, and elaborate foliate decoration throughout. The shelf measures approximately 34 inches high x 21 inches wide x 8 inches deep and weighs approximately 13.5 pounds.
This is a substantial hand-carved piece with wonderful character and craftsmanship. The carved bear heads display expressive folk-art styling, while the smaller carved creatures and flowing leaf motifs create a striking hunting lodge or rustic aesthetic.
Although no maker's mark has been found, the carving style is consistent with late 19th to early 20th century Black Forest-inspired European folk art. The exact country of origin remains unknown.

Condition
