The solid wood wingback frame was stripped down prior to reconstruction and hand-finished in softly distressed neutral tones with dark waxed accents that emphasize its curves and carved details.

Genuine brown and red brindle cowhide wraps the back and side panels, complemented by heavy natural burlap and authentic vintage potato sacks with their original typography intact. The reverse of the chair features the showpiece of the design: an authentic “U.S. No. 1 Red Dragon California Potatoes” sack preserved as the full back panel.

Heavy braided burlap gimp and individually applied copper-toned nailheads trace the upholstery and architectural lines of the frame.

The chair was rebuilt for comfort as well as appearance. The back incorporates 3-inch cooling gel foam, while the seat features 3-inch medium-high-density upholstery foam for substantial support and everyday use. A coordinating, intentionally designed pillow incorporating the chair's textiles is also included.

The result is an unexpected marriage of refined vintage form and rustic American agricultural history—equally at home in an English country, Western, farmhouse, eclectic or collected interior.

This is an original Timeless Layers creation and one of one. The vintage textiles, natural cowhide markings, patina and variations in the reclaimed materials are part of the chair's history and character and cannot be duplicated.
