This 34 cm reversible board offers two playing surfaces: a chess side framed in geometric inlay in turquoise, blue, and gold, and a backgammon side laid out around ornamental painted medallions. Its smaller format suits a side table, console, or shelf, where it reads as a decorative object between games.

Khatam marquetry assembles fine rods of wood, bone, and brass into repeating geometric patterns by hand; the Tazhib painting is applied over it in the tradition of manuscript illumination. The whole is sealed in clear protective resin.

Supplied with wooden chess pieces, Khatam backgammon checkers, dice, and a protective hard case with handle and locks.

Board 34 x 34 x 5.5 cm (13.4 x 13.4 x 2.2 in). Chess playing area 23 x 23 cm (9.1 x 9.1 in). Protective case 43.5 x 23.5 x 8.5 cm.
