This reversible wooden board features a chess surface on one side and a backgammon layout on the other, both covered in precise geometric marquetry. Its golden tones, walnut structure, and intricate inlay work give the piece a strong decorative presence, whether placed in a living room, library, office, or games room.

Khatam is a centuries-old marquetry technique in which fine rods of wood, bone, and brass are bundled, sliced, and hand-assembled into repeating micro-patterns. Every visible surface of this set is decorated in that way, creating a balanced, almost architectural composition, sealed under a clear protective resin finish.

Supplied with a full set of chess pieces, matching backgammon checkers, and a protective hard case with handle and locks.
