This reversible wooden board features a chess surface on one side and a backgammon layout on the other. The chess side presents a graphic black and gold Khatam composition, while the backgammon side opens into a deeper red, black, and gold arrangement. The result is a collector piece designed to be played, displayed, and preserved.

Khatam is a centuries-old marquetry technique in which fine rods of wood, bone, and brass are bundled, sliced, and hand-assembled into geometric patterns - thousands of individual elements across a single board. Every visible surface here is inlaid by hand, then finished in clear protective resin that deepens the contrast of the inlay.

Supplied with a full set of chess pieces, matching backgammon checkers, and a protective hard case with handle and locks.

Board 49.5 x 49.5 x 6.5 cm (19.5 x 19.5 x 2.6 in). Chess playing area 28 x 28 cm (11 x 11 in). Protective case 54 x 29 x 9 cm.
