Vintage Scandinavian mid century modern cocktail table with stowable drink trays, made in Denmark c. 1960s.
A case study in craftsmanship, the table features softly sculpted legs and bowtie stretcher bars with exposed mortise and tenon joinery. The slightly inward cant of the legs adds visual texture to the narrow ends.
Similar to designs by Johannes Andersen or Hvidt and Molgaard-Nielsen from the same time period, the table has hidden drink trays, finished in black melamine, that can be drawn out as needed to increase usable surface area.
The table is in excellent condition, with a newly-refinished top surface and no noteworthy wear on the frame.
