Agustin Gainza Oil Painting "Wedding at The Havana Cathedral c1880"
Offered for sale is a large oil painting on canvas by Cuban-American artist Agustin Gainza. The painting is signed and dated 1986. This large decorative painting is Cuban folk art and depicts a wedding at the Havana Cathedral with on-lookers dressed in period costumes of the late 19th century. This colorful painting is primitive in nature and is a recent acquisition from the Florida estate of a Cuban gentleman. The painting is simply framed in wood, wired, and ready to hang. This piece of art is published in the book Art of Cuba in Exile, which is included with the sell of this piece.
