A striking, one-of-a-kind table crafted from a single substantial slab of solid elm. Measuring approximately 106 inches long, 30 inches tall, and ranging organically from 35 to 46 inches wide, the top preserves the tree’s natural live edges, expressive grain, and distinctive knots and markings.
The wood is protected with a hand-applied Rubio clear finish that highlights the elm’s warm coloration and beautifully figured grain while retaining its natural appearance and tactile character.
The slab is supported by two black-painted steel square-frame legs. Their clean geometry and understated industrial finish provide a crisp counterpoint to the wood’s organic form, creating a sturdy yet visually light foundation.
Its generous proportions make it an exceptional dining table, conference table, executive desk, or statement worktable, well suited to contemporary, organic-modern, rustic, or industrial interiors.
The slab was responsibly air-dried for approximately two to three years. Although it was not kiln-dried, it is fully dry, and its moisture content was checked before it was made available for sale. This slow, natural drying process preserves the wood’s distinctive character.
As with any natural live-edge slab, variations in width, grain, knots, checks, and edge contours are intrinsic to the piece and contribute to its singular character.
This table was assembled by the Lumber Baron in Oakland.
