American Heritage: Ronson was founded by Louis V. Aronson as The Art Metal Works in Newark, New Jersey, back in 1898. They became famous for manufacturing their iconic Table and pocket lighters. They remained in New Jersey throughout the early to mid-20th century. In 2010, the famous American lighter company Zippo acquired the Ronson brand. Today, Zippo owns Ronson in North America, with products like Ronsonal Fuel and select Lighters tied to Zippo's Bradford, Pennsylvania operation. "Crown" table lighters are classic mid-century American-made originals. See less
