Reclining Figure is a signed studio drawing by internationally recognized Argentine-born artist Ricardo Cinalli, created during a series of live figure sessions in New York City in 2001.
During that period, Cinalli was developing concepts for a major private decorative commission in a Park Avenue residence. As part of his creative process, he produced numerous studies of the human figure while working directly from live models.
The present owner served as one of the artist's live models during these sessions. Following the project, Ricardo Cinalli personally gifted several drawings from this body of work to the present owner, where they have remained together in the same private collection for more than two decades.
This work is a signed studio drawing executed by Ricardo Cinalli during those sessions. While it is not an original preparatory sketch, it is a hand-drawn work created and signed by the artist as part of the same creative period.
The composition captures a reclining male figure in a relaxed pose, rendered with elegant, economical line work that reflects Cinalli's lifelong interest in classical draftsmanship and the expressive qualities of the human form.
