A striking and instantly recognizable Pablo Picasso lithograph featuring one of his elegant continuous line drawings. This image is based on a drawing Picasso created on August 9, 1952, during a period when he was producing some of his most celebrated line portraits. The Roman numeral XXII identifies it as part of a sequence of drawings from that series. With just a few fluid, confident lines, Picasso distilled the human figure to its essentials while retaining a remarkable sense of warmth and expression.
The piece is presented in a classic gold-tone frame and displays beautifully.
