The Lamp is made of bronze or brass and has a hand hammered finish; it is not signed that I can find but was made by a craftsman not an amateur. The metal has a great patina, it is slightly lighter than the photos depict. The Lamp is big and would work with a large or stained-glass shade. See less

The only thing to note are 2 rubs to the patina on the base. When you look at it from two sides it is ever-so -slightly crooked, just slightly not near as much as my photos show, it is as it was made because there is no damage as if the lamp was dropped. You could always add a tiny bit of extra felt under one foot but I don't think you would actually notice once it had a shade. As with all antique lighting it should be rewired, the socket and harp was changed at some point in the past, there is no finial.
