This elegant flat-weave rug exemplifies the minimalist sophistication of vintage tribal textiles from Iran. It features a balanced composition of muted earth tones arranged in large, asymmetrical color fields. The palette shifts gently between sandy beiges, creamy ivories, and soft taupe, with a subtle interplay of striated textures in the central panel-an effect created by varying the natural undyed wool tones. The design is structured in horizontal bands, yet it avoids rigidity through nuanced differences in tone and weave, giving it a soft, organic rhythm. The juxtaposition of the broader solid fields with a finely striped center segment creates visual interest while maintaining a serene, understated aesthetic. The piece is constructed from hand-spun wool and retains the charming irregularities that characterize authentic nomadic craftsmanship. This rug offers a versatile neutral foundation, making it an ideal complement to both contemporary and traditional interiors. Its quiet sophistication lies in its refined materiality and masterful use of natural tones. With its unique pattern and refined colors, this vintage rug reflects the impeccable taste of Doris Leslie Blau's selections. Offering both rare, high-end pieces and more accessible options, Doris Leslie Blau presents rugs in a wide spectrum of prices. See less
