The lamps … Read more A charming pair of mid-century hand-painted porcelain ginger jar table lamps made by Wilshire House, Beverly Hills, CA. The lamps are crafted in an Asian motif Chinoiserie style with a large ginger jar form executed in warm hues of light yellow and pale apricot against a crisp white background. The painted design is created in the style of 18th century Dutch Delft potteries, depicting a large stylized birds perched among peonies, chrysanthemums, and leaf arrangements accented by rows of garlands and geometric leaf borders. The lamps are finished with a glossy glaze over the paint and are raised on hexagonal stepped wood plinth bases. The lamps are fitted with brass hardware. Crafted in a modern Chinoiserie style, the pair is well-suited for a variety of spaces. Sold as a pair.
