The young woman’s face is characterized by soft, idealized features typical of French artistic standards from the second half of the 19th century. Her eyes are finely engraved and turned toward her left, giving her a serene expression that is at once proud and dreamy. Her hair is wavy and partially gathered, with strands sculpted in a dynamic, three-dimensional manner that frame her face and cascade down her neck. The young woman wears an asymmetrical, curved wide-brimmed hat adorned with a large ribbon tied on the right side. General Condition: Excellent. Provenance: 19th-century France.
