Stoppino trained at IUAV and the Milan Polytechnic, worked alongside Ernesto Nathan Rogers and Vittorio Gregotti, and went on to collaborate with Kartell, Bernini, Driade and Acerbis across a career that earned him three Compasso d’Oro awards. The Parioli system reflects the modular logic typical of Italian design in this period: independent storage units — hinged doors and a drawer module — that could be combined in different configurations depending on the client’s needs.

This example presents wood door panels, book-matched to show a continuous, symmetrical grain across each front, paired with a satin steel drawer module set between them. The top runs the full length in a single wood-edged surface, with a slim steel inset strip along the front edge echoing the drawer finish.
