RH Almora Wool Rug – 10' × 14'
Cream | Hand-Knotted New Zealand Wool | Sculptural Abstract Contemporary Design
Luxury Staging Use | Professionally Cleaned | Dramatic Textural Presence
────────────
SCULPTURAL TEXTURE, ABSTRACT MODERNISM
Inspired by 20th century abstract art, the Almora Rug from Restoration Hardware interprets asymmetrical geometric forms through richly layered hand-knotted wool construction and dramatic sculptural carving.
Masterfully woven from hand-spun New Zealand wool, the design is carved directly into the dense pile and hand sheared to create substantial high-low texture throughout the surface. The interplay between the plush cut pile and elevated wool detailing produces exceptional depth, softness, and architectural movement across the rug.
At the oversized 10' × 14' scale, Almora creates a dramatic visual foundation with an elevated, gallery-like presence ideally suited for luxury interiors.
────────────
MATERIALS & CONSTRUCTION
• Masterfully hand woven from hand-spun New Zealand wool and other fibers
• Dense sculptural high-low pile construction
• Hand-carved asymmetrical abstract patterning
• Finished with hand-serged edges
• GoodWeave certified

Due to the handcrafted nature of the rug, variation in shading, texture, and tonal movement is inherent and part of the design.
────────────
DIMENSIONS
• 10' × 14'
────────────
STYLE OVERVIEW
• Architectural Contemporary — Sculptural carving and asymmetrical geometry create a strong modern editorial presence.
• Modern Organic — Tonal softness and dimensional wool texture balance the structured abstract pattern with warmth and movement.
• Quiet Luxury — Oversized scale, artisan craftsmanship, and understated monochromatic coloration create a refined designer aesthetic.
────────────
COLOR OVERVIEW
Cream
The Cream colorway features layered tones of warm ivory, soft parchment, oatmeal, and natural wool undertones woven throughout the high-low pile. The sculptural carved texture creates dramatic tonal movement depending on lighting conditions, viewing angle, and pile direction.
Rather than reading as a flat solid cream, the rug presents with rich dimensional variation and an intentionally organic, highly textural appearance.

CONDITION | LUXURY STAGING USE
This rug was previously used for upscale staging and has since been professionally cleaned by K.A. Menendian Rug & Carpet Gallery, one of the oldest and most respected luxury rug specialists in the United States.
The rug presents beautifully overall with exceptional softness, dramatic texture, and a very substantial underfoot feel. As expected with a light-toned, heavily textured wool rug that has undergone staging and professional cleaning, visible tonal variation is present throughout the piece. The carved wool construction naturally reflects light differently depending on pile direction, lighting conditions, and viewing angle, contributing to the dimensional and organic appearance of the rug.
There is one visible small area of deeper tonal variation/discoloration within the field of the rug. Based on its appearance, it may be associated with the cleaning or drying process rather than presenting as a sharply defined isolated spill stain. The area has a softer, more diffuse appearance within the wool fibers but remains visible upon inspection and is disclosed accordingly.
Additionally, one edge side of the rug presents slightly deeper in tone compared to the opposite end, likely resulting from moisture migration and natural fiber saturation during the cleaning and drying process of such a dense wool piece. Minor texture variation or bloom within portions of the wool pile may also be present consistent with professional cleaning and the natural character of a highly textured hand-knotted wool rug.
Overall, the rug remains structurally sound and visually impactful with an exceptionally elevated RH aesthetic and strong designer presence in person.
