An impressive 1976 original oil on board landscape painting by Guinness World Record artist Morris Katz. Known for his "Instant Art" method utilizing only a palette knife and tissue, Katz achieved incredible sculptural texture and architectural impasto in his works.
This oversized piece features a striking coastal landscape with pine trees set against a vibrant turquoise sky and golden sunset horizon, anchored by a solitary heron in flight. The impasto peaks are extraordinarily sharp, well-preserved, and undamaged. The painting is housed in its original 1970s dual-toned dark wood frame with a woven linen liner. Signed and dated 1976 in thick wet paint at the bottom right.
