These chairs are so special and need to be in the right home. They've been in a bedroom with against floral wallpaper, strikingly beautiful but the bedroom is changing. Original fabric, wood frames have been sanded and painted, some paint is on upholstery tacks as shown in swan close up, I will use remover to clean before shipping. Cushioning is original and supportive, fabric is in excellent vintage condition (clean, no tears or worn spots). The photos of the underside of both chairs show the work that should be done. Springs seem to be pressing against and ripping through the lining. I only noticed this when I was looking for furniture markings.
These chairs are a 20th century reproduction of an Empire Gondola chair, the white painted frame paired with vibrant floral and bird upholstery offer a softened, romantic take on a traditionally militaristic style. You will not be disappointed with these whimsical unique chairs!
