Measuring 17.5 inches (44.5 cm) in length, this necklace is made of smooth round beads (17.5 - 18 mm) in a cloudy gray-green color. Phantom quartz is a variety of quartz consisting of visible layers of overlapping crystal growths. The outline of the inner crystals can be seen due to some variation in composition or mineral inclusion making the boundary between growths visible. The interior crystal layers are known as phantoms.

Bead knotting is traditionally done with silk thread, placing a knot between each bead to prevent them from rubbing against each other.
The necklace is fastened with a comfortable sterling silver clasp with natural rutilated quartz cabochon. The necklace weighs 177 grams.
