A refined flap-top secretaire (or writing desk), inspired by the Louis XVI style but arguably part of mid-20th-century Italian modernism.
The upper section opens like a work surface, revealing an internal compartment organized with four small side drawers with spherical knobs and a central open compartment.
The lower section is closed by two doors with distinctive vertical ribbing (a breadstick or Venetian shutter effect).
Inside the compartment are two wooden shelves.
The piece rests on four elegant turned and fluted legs, typical of the linearity of the Louis XVI style.
Both locks are working and come with both original keys.
