About the Designer:

Niels Bendtsen (born 1943) is a highly influential Danish-Canadian industrial designer and entrepreneur. He owes his renown to the fact that he has created a perfect harmony between traditional Scandinavian craftsmanship and modern, highly efficient industrial mass production. Over the course of his more than six-decade career, he founded renowned design brands and created iconic modern furniture pieces. Bendtsen once said, "Good design is primarily about logic." A product must first and foremost meet the requirements of manufacturability and everyday use to be successful.
