This particular stone originates from a deposit first discovered in 1912 near the old village of Tsaramanga in Madagascar's Antananarivo Province.

The necklace measures 18 inches (45.7 cm) in length and features enormous, round, smooth beads of a very rare 22.5 mm diameter, with a substantial weight of 290 grams (10.2 oz).
