A striking oil on canvas depicting a Maasai herder wrapped in a flowing red shuka, rendered in silhouette against a richly mottled, sun-warmed ochre ground. Loose, atmospheric brushwork gives real movement to the fabric against the textured, almost weathered background; a strong graphic presence for a global-eclectic, safari-modern, or bohemian interior.
Signed "Phyllipa" lower right, a Kenya and London-based artist.
