A handsome antique Arts & Crafts oak fern stand dating to the early 20th century. Built from beautifully grained oak with clean Mission-style lines, it features a circular recessed top designed to securely hold a flower pot, a small utility drawer beneath the top, and a lower shelf for additional display or storage.
The quarter-sawn oak displays warm, rich grain throughout, and the proportions make it an excellent accent piece without taking up much floor space. While originally intended as a fern or jardinière stand, it works equally well today as a pedestal for pottery, sculpture, houseplants, or other decorative objects.
The integrated drawer is an uncommon feature and provides convenient storage for small items while maintaining the simple, geometric aesthetic characteristic of the Arts & Crafts movement.
