The specimen combines translucent and milky-white crystal formations across a darker natural matrix. Larger geometric crystals are layered among smaller sparkling formations, creating varied depth, reflection, and texture as the piece is viewed from different angles.

The mineral is mounted against an all-white recessed background with a beveled opening that frames it like a three-dimensional portrait. A warm silver-toned metallic shadow-box frame gives the piece a clean architectural presence while allowing the specimen to project forward from the background. Its restrained white and metallic palette works beautifully in contemporary, modern, organic-modern, minimalist, or neutral interiors.

Christopher Marley’s Pheromone collection presents natural specimens in carefully composed, museum-like displays that blur the line between natural history and sculptural art. The Pheromone mineral collection is no longer in current production. As a result, authentic framed examples have become increasingly scarce on the secondary market, with limited availability contributing to stronger collector interest and rising asking prices.

The original Christopher Marley Pheromone identification label remains attached to the reverse and identifies the specimen as apophyllite from India. The white mount bears Marley’s embossed signature at the lower right.

Condition statement

Excellent overall condition. The apophyllite specimen remains securely mounted and presents beautifully within the recessed white mount. Its larger translucent crystals, smaller sparkling formations, darker matrix edges, internal variations, and naturally irregular surfaces remain clearly visible.

The warm silver-toned metallic shadow-box frame and white interior show only minor signs of handling. The original Christopher Marley Pheromone identification label remains attached to the reverse, and the embossed signature is present at the lower right of the mount.

Natural fissures, irregular edges, mineral deposits, matrix coloration, inclusions, and differences among the crystal formations are inherent characteristics of the specimen rather than condition issues. Please review all photographs closely. See less
