The piece is a monumental 4x4-foot mid-century modern relief sculpture from the 1960s is a striking fusion of classical antiquity and avant-garde Op Art. Hand-carved from a premium panel of solid walnut, the artwork depicts a Greco-Roman portrait bust rendered through precise, sweeping horizontal ridges. **Please note that any inconsistencies in color are from the light. The piece is 100% uniform in it's beautiful walnut color with inside the carving lines being very dark, appearing almost burnt. See less
