Believed to date to the 1870s based on conversations with an antique specialist, this solid wood American washstand/press cabinet features beautiful turned columns, dovetailed drawers, and a rich aged patina. The cabinet has been gently cleaned and conditioned with Howard Feed-N-Wax while preserving its original finish. It has not been stripped or refinished. A beautiful example of 19th-century craftsmanship that works equally well as a sideboard, entry cabinet, or coffee bar.

The door hinges have been replaced at some point in its history and are fully functional. Future owners may choose to install more period-appropriate hinges if desired. The lock and key are also believed to have been replaced during the cabinet’s lifetime. These later alterations do not affect the cabinet’s functionality or overall antique character. less
