This early purely geometric classic minimalist Modern Nessen design was way ahead of its time with its stripped down aesthetic and unique use of more Industrial use materials that would not become more commonly used by other lighting designers until the late 1960's. Simple, bold, burly & solid best describes its manufacture as this was built like a tank! Fitted with its original White enamel socket enclosure that holds the bell shaped waffle textured White Milk Glass diffuser shade. Topped with original burley solid Stainless finial that supports the contemporary Cream colored Linen shade that is shown for REFERENCE ONLY and is NOT INCLUDED - see details below to acquire. CONDITION: This striking and unique Streamline Modern lamp is in outstanding original condition, completely intact and fully functional. The satin spun finish of the Stainless is brilliant overall with just a few surface marks on its backside (see pic) and some faint wear from handling mostly around the base. Original Mogul sized socket with standard adapter, column mounted push power switch and more recently replaced insulated power cord has been inspected & tested and are completely safe and functional. The bell shaped waffled textured Milk glass opaque diffuser shades is close to perfect and without blemish. The contemporary Cream colored Linen shade that is shown for REFERENCE ONLY and is NOT INCLUDED - see details below to acquire. DIMENSIONS: This large lamps general dimensions as shown are 36" tall total with an overall width of 8" to the base, the Milk glass shade is 6" tall X 7" diameter.
