This handsome American Colonial Revival Martha Washington sewing cabinet dates to approximately 1925–1935 and is crafted from quarter-sawn oak with warm oak veneer side panels.
The cabinet features the classic Martha Washington silhouette with three central drawers flanked by two lift-top storage compartments, all supported by elegant tapered legs. While originally intended as a sewing cabinet, it functions beautifully today as an accent chest, end table, bedside cabinet, or storage piece.
The warm honey-colored finish highlights the beautiful oak grain throughout, particularly on the side panels and legs. The cabinet retains its original turned oak drawer pulls, brass hardware, lift-top compartments, and overall early American character.
One interior storage compartment preserves an interesting period repair utilizing a vintage Libby's, McNeill & Libby wooden produce crate. Rather than replacing this historic repair, it has been left intact as part of the cabinet's story and provides a fascinating glimpse into the resourcefulness of a previous owner.
The cabinet offers generous storage within its three drawers and two side compartments while maintaining a compact footprint suitable for many interiors.
